AppropriationsJefferson Government Relations, LLC's (Jefferson) significant record of success in seeking federal appropriations for our clients is a result of the relationships we have cultivated with appropriators and their staffs. We have secured federal appropriations totaling over half a billion dollars for projects including the construction of new buildings on a university campus, the rehabilitation of a 13,000-foot runway at a large commercial airport and operating assistance for an inner-city at-risk youth center. To secure federal funding, Jefferson works with each client to develop an appropriate strategy that will energize a client's congressional delegation to push for a funding request, utilize political assets to gain support outside of the delegation, and establish and maintain ongoing dialogue with other key players in the appropriations process. Jefferson assists each client in drafting compelling testimony for Appropriations Committee hearings and coordinates closely with Congress to field questions and advocate the merits of the request when funding decisions are made. As the House and Senate meet in conference committee at the close of the appropriations cycle, we are there to ensure our hard-fought victories remain in the final compromise bill. Jefferson is able to do this because our employees enjoy strong relationships with congressional appropriators and their staffs. It is through our relationships with old and new allies within the Congress that Jefferson is able to secure needed funding for our clients. |
