On health care policy matters, a typical engagement might begin with a government relations audit. The audit is an assessment of significant opportunities for, and threats to, a corporation or organization from current, pending, and projected legislation and regulation. The audit will result in various options and recommendations for appropriate action, including development of a legislative or regulatory action plan with appropriate strategies and specific tasks. Included in the action plan is development of policy positions, legislative or regulatory proposals and regulatory approval strategies.
